About the exhibition
Anthony Brunelli Fine Arts is pleased to present our third solo exhibition with Joseph Q. Daily. This exhibition includes all new works focusing on the artist's recent inspirations with floral, still life, landscape and figurative compositions. Please join us at the opening and mid exhibition receptions for the artist.
Exhibition Statement:
This show collects a year’s worth of paintings from a very happy period; Maria and I were married in September, and these images reflect – either directly or indirectly – the final months of our engagement and our first steps as newlyweds. During this time, we have had the pleasure of gathering flowers, objects, and scenes from our day-to-day experiences and working together to fashion them into the paintings exhibited here.
The subject matter is eclectic, but each painting depicts something personally meaningful to me. Each has a special story behind it, though none are spelled out for the viewer. I have simply tried to paint beautiful subjects beautifully, and I hope that everyone will find their own unique meaning in the paintings.
For my part, the thread which runs through all of these images is gratitude to God – for the bounties of nature, the sincerity of friendship, the happiness of marriage, and above all for the gift of a conscious existence in His Creation.
