Anthony Brunelli Fine Arts artist, Jessica Fridrich, wins the Scenic, Seasons & Landscape category with her entry Bisti Wilderness Area. The category was apart of the larger Share the Experience photo contest hosted by the National Park Foundation.

As the artist stated in her submission, “Photography is about sharing, telling a story of the landscape, and communicating our own emotional state with the hope that the images will motivate others to pick up their backpacks and explore on their own to witness the beauty in person. The hoodoos sit next to the (more) famous Bisti Wings, which I originally planned to shoot but was repeatedly drawn to the hoodoos because of their geometry and beautiful texture. When the Moon rose after sunset, the composition became almost obvious. I believe this photo conveys the same sense of bewilderment and awe I felt when seeing the formations for the first time. It is about geometry. The trapezoidal arrangement of the main subjects and a loose assortment of geometrical shapes make it look like in a surrealistic painting.”
